ABOUT
Teach Between the Lines is an independent educational publisher focused on historical literacy. We create research-based historical narratives and supplemental reading resources that help students strengthen comprehension, vocabulary, evidence use, and historical thinking.
Our collections bring students into history through the lives and experiences of people and communities too often overlooked, compressed, or separated from the larger historical narrative. Each publication combines careful research, engaging storytelling, and transparent historical documentation, inviting students to consider not only what happened, but how we know.
Our resources are designed to work alongside existing curricula, not replace them. We identify where each story fits by historical period, topic, theme, grade band, and literacy emphasis. Teachers retain the professional authority to decide how those materials best support their students and instructional goals.
Artificial intelligence supports parts of our research, development, and editorial process, but it does not replace human judgment. Every Teach Between the Lines publication is guided by historical integrity, cultural responsibility, thoughtful design, and respect for the professional work of teachers.
Our purpose is simple: to make history more meaningful by helping students read it more deeply.
